A Strong Backbone for a Healthy Network

Because structured cabling systems are the backbone of your information network, design and installation require careful planning and expertise. Our thoughtful, organized approach to these projects minimizes construction costs while easing the way for future changes.

In-House Design

TechNet’s in-house Computer-Aided Designer (CAD) team outlines all communications rooms and cable pathways prior to installation. This unique TechNet capability ensures the system we design will meet your current requirements as efficiently as possible while accounting for future growth. Our needs-based design process helps us deliver the system you need at the price you want.

Organized, Adaptable Infrastructure

To ensure that your system remains organized after installation, TechNet uses a five-point labeling scheme for every cable installed. The five locations include:

  1. On the floor plan
  2. On the faceplate plate
  3. On the Jack end of the wrap-around cable label
  4. Behind the patch panel on the wrap-around cable label
  5. On the patch panel

Finalization of all structured cabling projects includes the delivery of a documentation package which includes:

  • Our manufacturer’s certification
  • Final as-built floor plans showing cable pathways
  • Unique cable identifiers
  • Backbone riser diagrams
  • Copper test results for each installed cable
  • Fiber optic test results for each installed fiber strand
  • Horizontal and vertical rack layouts
  • Job site photos of each wiring closet

Quality Installations

As the backbone of your network, the quality and longevity of your structured cabling system is paramount. TechNet ensures that your system will outlast other networking components and require minimal upgrades.

Our RCDD-designed systems are installed by BICSI-certified technicians who are overseen by BICSI-certified foremen.

TechNet structured cabling systems are able to:

  • Our manufacturer’s certification
  • Consolidate cable delivery methods for all your communications systems to reduce initial construction costs
  • Provide consistency in cabling but flexibility in vendor equipment
  • Facilitate troubleshooting by making it easy to identify, isolate and correct problems
  • Accommodate organizational restructuring or growth quickly and easily without costly outages or painful logistics
  • Adapt to new technologies so you can respond quickly and cost-effectively to changes that occur in voice, data, multimedia and security systems
